What is a laft? What is the thickness of walls that you make of the laft?
A laft is a two edged cant beam.
The laft is obtained by cutting a round log from two sides. House walls become flat, beautiful and economic. The area of premises increases due to flatness of walls. Such walls easily allow furniture arrangement and do not need additional covering. As the laft is made of massive logs it behaves like round logs. At present, for manufacturing of the products we use the laft of three types depending on thickness – 160мм (an equivalent of a round log 220-240мм), 200мм (an equivalent of a round log 300мм), 220мм (an equivalent of a round log 340-360мм).
The laft 160мм thick we use only for manufacturing of baths houses.
