What works and in what consequence would you recommend to undertake?

For a start it is necessary to have a site for construction with all due documents and permissions issued. It is necessary to define types, number and approximate sizes of rooms that you wish to be built. Then it is necessary to develop a set of project documentation. To build a house without a project means to loose the money and time in vain. After the development of the project, the term and schedule of manufacturing the house should be defined. Then the contract on manufacturing and mounting should be made. You make prepayment at a rate of 30 % of the cost, and the rest of the amount is to be paid by parts according to the schedule for manufacturing and mounting of your house. Before shipment of a complete set of the house, the foundation should be constructed in accordance with the task- plan and drawings provided by us. The foundation should be ready by the time when a complete set of the house leaves the production shop. It is important to mount the walls on a base as soon as possible. After mounting of walls and the rafter system the house should be covered with a roofing cover to protect against precipitation. This inflicts additional pressure upon walls and accelerates the process of house setting. As our products are made of dried materials and planed ,then it is possible to begin color coating walls from outside, which should be done in dry weather with the air temperature not less than 5-7C0 (TIKKURILA recommendations). At the same time, before doors and windows are installed it is necessary to make distribution of electric wires. Afterwards windows and doors might be installed. In case the house has been mounted under wet conditions of rainy weather, it is desirable that the house is left under the covered roof without windows and doors installed for 3-4 weeks for airing. Further on, the internal finishing works (floors, ceilings, coloring of internal walls, distributing of heating, water and the sewerage) are performed. Don't forget to regulate in time compensating jacks on columns (if provided). If you forget there will be problems with a house setting. Also we advise you to consider the experience of Norwegian people. They build and live in one-stored houses with inhabited attics (hems), they don't build huge two-storey houses. For them the main thing to have a house in harmony with surrounding landscape, but not have it higher than the neighbour’s.

We wish you to have built a good wooden house just to your taste and without problems, and to be satisfied with what you have built!
